Hi poppy,

I had one but it was a good few years ago. I don't know if you've ever had an intramuscular magnesium injection, but it feels a bit like that then it's a bit sore for a day or so - at least it was then. But it's really no big deal, so don't worry about it.

They're checking for muscle or nerve damage, and it's no bad thing to get those things excluded.

Yes, please do, poppy. If they find something, they'll be able to do something about it, and if they don't find anything, that's something else eliminated. So it's a win/win  smile

Yep, had the in neurophysiology dept along with single probe test. They measure synapse gaps and other things I can't pronounce as it stimulates the muscles and makes them jerk or jump (I didn't know the difference because I was doing that anyway  🙄) I didn't find it painful, a bit like being cattle-prodded and as I had lost so much weight I did find I bruised a bit later. It was interesting to watch the machines recording the activity. For me it was to eliminate muscle conditions. Don't panic, Rogers right, it was no big deal x

Hi poppy,

Please don't stress about it. The odds are that you'll be fine and at the very least you'll have excluded another possibility.

I'm truly sorry that you found the experience horrid, poppy, but at least it's another box ticked. But you DON'T have to 'just live with it', which is a terrible thing for them to say. There's a reason for your symptoms and at some point you'll find it.
